On the morning of September 4th, a delegation led by Yu Jun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Tarim University, came to IMU for a visit and exchange. Liu Yongbin, vice president of IMU, and heads of relevant departments such as the Office of Science and Technology, the Party Committee Student Affairs Department (Office), and the Security Department participated in the discussion and exchange.

During the meeting, Liu Yongbin warmly welcomed the visit of Yu Jun and delegation. He introduced the basic situation of IMU as well as its achievements and practices in talent introduction, technological innovation, and the construction of research platforms. Liu expressed his hope that both universities could take this opportunity to deepen mutual understanding, learn from each other, and strengthen cooperation and exchanges in areas such as culture, history, agricultural and livestock product processing, thereby jointly opening up new prospects for development.

Yu Jun introduced the basic situation of Tarim University. He said that both universities have received care and attention from General Secretary Xi Jinping, carrying out glorious historical missions. He hoped that both sides would closely focus on the main thread of strengthening the consciousness of the Chinese nation community, enhance cooperation and exchange, complement each other's strengths, and continuously improve the support and contribution of higher education to high-quality development.

The participants carried out exchanges on aspects such as the construction of scientific research platforms, student management, and campus safety.

Before the symposium, Yu Jun and his delegation successively visited and investigated the Mongolian ancient books exhibition room in the library of IMU, the research base for forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, and the ethnic museum. Relevant responsible comrades from the Office of Science and Technology and the library accompanied the research.
